IgM-Specific ELISA
IgM-Specific ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay)
The ELISA plates were coated with goat anti-mouse IgM, that were used to measure the presence of any IgM antibodies found within 6 different supernatants, 5 of which where supernatants from B cell hybridoma clones (elucidate any IgM secretion) and 1 was medium, the control (background). The phsphatase-conjugated goat anti-mouse IgM cleaved the phosphatase substrate, altering the solutions color, from a clear to a yellow, which was mostly seen at the higher diluted samples. Furthermore, the recorded spectrophotometrical absorbances of the given supernatants and their respective dilutions allowed analysis of the samples given content of IgM.
