Find information on cell death. Descriptions of both types of cell death are provided. Apoptosis and necrosis. A cell with irreversible injury which has reached a stage of being unable to repair, will go into cellular changes seen as cell death. Unexpected membrane damage leads to lysosomal enzymes that are normally contained, to leak out and digest the cell. Apoptosis, programmed cell death, mainly occurs with damages to DNA and impairments of cell cycle control.Necrosis is a pathologic entity.
